1) They Might Be Giants have just announced the winner of their contest to create a video for the song "Can't Keep Johnny Down" of their new album Join Us. Per Judge John Hodgeman: "I KNOW there have been backwards videos before, but every time I watch this video, I see new beautiful things in it. The reverse spit take, the firecrackers arcing through the air, the weirdly poetic, jiggling man-flesh, and the fact that they actually startled a deer make this a wonder, complete and impeccable.
WHAT’S MORE, they perfectly capture both the assholic and exultant nature of Johnny, and this man’s face and body are something I can look at all day long. He deserves an INTERNET VIDEO OSCAR just for his last look on his face.
IT WAS A TOUGH CALL, but I present to you, delightedly, your CONTEST WINNER:"

3) From Björk's upcoming, extremely multi-media heavy release Biophilia (which I believe I will be seeing her perform in its entirety in Reykjavík on October 16), the new video for "Crystalline", directed by Michel Gondry. There's a lot of sand, and a gigantic head of hair.
4) The last week or so, Facebook has been abuzz with people announcing how much they enjoy the new Bon Iver album. I still haven't heard it. What I HAVE heard is Bon Iver's cover of Björk's fantastic song off of 2005's Medulla, "Who Is It?" Sound isn't perfect, but their hearts are in the right place:
Email me in the next few days and if there's a video link in there it will probably end up online next Wednesday. My email address is rfsljed at gmail dot com.
