Slow week in new videos, friends! I'm going to have to revert to my out-of-state submissions! As a heads up, I'll be posting a collection of CHRISTMAS-related videos in a few weeks, so if you have any video suggestions you'd like to see (especially 1) recently released and 2) local video suggestions?) please let me know at RFSLJed at gmail dot com.
1) The first concert I ever attended was Sting at the Greek Theatre in 1993 (I still have the t-shirt). He's playing again tonight at the Wiltern. I would have liked to go but...Although it is extremely unlikely that he'll play the Police's "Synchronicity II", I always thought it was a super cool video, and awesome song (set my expectations low for growing up!)
3) Brooklyn's Fort Lean's new video for "Beach Holiday" starts in a butcher shop (Emily's Pork Store, a neighborhood relic in the Italian section of Willamsburg, Brooklyn), cuts to one of the butchers (presumably lead singer Keenan Mitchell) daydreaming of a smoke break while working.
4) Here, watch a new live performance by New York's Guards of "I See it Coming" on Yours Truly.
Guards "I See It Coming" is Yourstru.ly from Yours Truly on Vimeo.
5) Snorri Helgason, Iceland's Paul Simon/Graham Nash/Neil Young has a new live video for " The Morning is the Loving Hour", shot for the Line of Best Fit while at Iceland Airwaves 2011.
Remember to email me with your favorite (especially holiday!) videos at rfsljed at gmail dot com.
