The Culture Collide Festival is back for 2012 with its strongest lineup to date, including headliners Of Montreal (US), The Wombats (UK), The Big Pink (UK), Zola Jesus (US) Dean Wareham Plays Galaxie 500 (US) , as well as Los Angeles favorites Pageants and Voxhaul Broadcast. The international music festival, sponsored by Filter Magazine, brings artists and bands from all over the world together with national and local acts to a variety of intimate spaces and large venues in Echo Park. Now in its third year, the event runs October 4-7 and takes place at The Echo and Echoplex, Taix, 826LA,The Church, and Origami Vinyl, all within walking distance of each other. The festival culminates in a free neighborhood block party on Sunday October 7. Most shows (shows at venues where alcohol is served) are 21+, but the block party is all ages.
