1) Melted Mixtapes presents a new video from L.A.'s Young Hunting for the sweet new song "Sweet Bird", filmed on the roof of Syrup Loft in Los Angeles's Garment District this past August. According to the band "[a] couple on a nearby rooftop was slow-dancing while we played...Sadly the cameras didn't catch it, but it happened!" I'm slow dancing with myself as I watch this video for the first time.

3) Valdimar is another of my favorite Icelandic artists, and this year's recent release Um Stund is one of my favorites of the year (both Icelandic and English language). Furthermore, the single "Yfir Borgina" (I think it means, "Over the City") is one of my favorite tracks from the album. Unfortunately, the new video for "Yfir Borgina" doesn't seem to have much to it (although the band describes it as an "Advent Miracle!" on their facebook page). The fact that the video prominently features trains is an easy sign that it was not filmed in Iceland (there are no trains in the entire country). It's still a great opportunity to check out the song. Wait for the soaring chorus. I've compared Valdimar's sound roughly to that of late Police or Sting.
