The Satellite kicks off the new year with their annual gift to their patrons of a week of free shows, beginning on Monday with the first night of the Warbly Jets January residency. Generally speaking, the town is kind of quiet this week, though there are shows with Avi Buffalo, Emerson Star, Summer Twins and Jack Tempchin.
The Smell celebrates its 19th Anniversary with a Weekend Celebration, with all proceeds going to The Smell's relocation fund. Beginning on Friday night with Jurassic Shark, on Saturday they move to The Belasco Theatre for a spectacular line up with No Age, Best Coast, Bleached, Ty Segall and Vice Cooler, and back to The Smell for a Sunday night finale.
