The L.A. Show Low Down (Or: "I lend you the science, I Know You Feed Them, Taught You Too Hard, You Can't Turn Back Now...")

As we get through the third week of the shit storm that is known as the Trump presidency, we encounter Valentine's Day on Tuesday, so let's go out and see some music. There are some great shows associated with this peculiar holiday, many with a decidedly dark tone, no doubt a result of the strange climate we find ourselves in.

The biggest of these shows is "A Night of Sad Songs & Love Songs" hosted by Cuz'n Roy at Echoplex and featuring some of the best and brightest in the local scene including Avid Dancer, Banta, Donna Bummer and the Histrionics, Emerson Star, Gregg Garvey, Joel Jerome, Lauren Ruth Ward, Maxim Ludwig, Miya Folick, Ryan Fuller, Samira Winter, and so many more you'll need to refer to the Tuesday entry for a complete list of artists.

There's also Panache's Valentine's Day "Village of Love" Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles Benefit Concert with Ty Segall as the headliner at Teragram Ballroom,The Green Heart Valentine Social to Benefit Global Green with Criminal Hygiene at Bootleg Bar, or there's the anti-social Valentine's Sux! Dance Party at Silver Lake Lounge. Something for everyone from committed couples to defiant singles.
